Marissa Perlman

Story-telling is Marissa’s passion and it is her greatest tool in making change in her community.

Marissa grew up in Glenview and graduated from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. She’s spent time in New York and California before landing her dream job with CBS Chicago in 2022.

You’ll find her reporting for their six-hour long morning broadcast working the days top stories. You’ll also find her passion project on CBS: investigating systemic failures in our community related to domestic violence. She is proud of the multiple Edward R. Murrow Awards she has brought home, but meeting her community in her hometown, and sharing their stories is her greatest accomplishment.
